Treatment decisions for chronic tic disorders
RR Selles, TK Murphy, D Obregon, EA Storch, AB LewinChronic tic disorders (CTDs) are a category of movement disorders, including Tourette\\\'s syndrome, that typically onset in youth and can be associated with a wide range of topography, complexity, severity and co-occurring conditions. We present an overview of evidence-based recommendations on the assessment and management of CTD for healthcare professionals. In particular, the following article focuses on the assessment and differential diagnosis of CTDs from other movement or psychiatric conditions, pharmacological and behavioral treatments of CTDs, as well as considerations and recommendations for treatment decisions for CTDs.
